Rota Vicentina
Walking the Rota Vicentina? Stay in Vila do Bispo
Vila do Bispo is one of the natural stops on the Fishermen's Trail, the coastal route of the Rota Vicentina, around 226 km between São Torpes and Lagos, waymarked in green and blue. It is also the village where the Historical Way heads towards Cabo de São Vicente. Sleeping here means reaching the trail on foot and ending the day with a shower, a good bed and a proper breakfast.

Official route information ↗Before you set off
The plateau near Cabo de São Vicente has little shade and a lot of wind, and on many sections the ground is sandy, which makes the day more tiring than the kilometres suggest. Bring water, sun protection and suitable footwear. Spring (March to May) and autumn are the best seasons for walking.
